Change Management

How can we help?

Having a clear strategy for your law firm is essential, taking the whole firm on a journey to implement this strategy is where the real hard work starts. Too often the traditional culture of the firm prevents that firm from moving forward regardless of the vision of the owners.

Symphony Legal can project manage the process for you; providing tools, training, development, coaching and mentoring along the way. There will be challenges on the journey when you introduce change to your team, our experienced consultants will have faced these before and have the experience of knowing that, if managed well, the positive results of change can be embraced by all.

We can assist in the following ways:

  • Deliver “All hands day” to share partner vision and engage employees
  • Facilitating monthly partner progress meetings
  • One to one partner coaching
  • Training and development programmes for teams and individuals

Depending on what works for you we can agree a monthly retainer or quote for a one off project.

Example Project

A 9 partner practice recognised the need for change but did not know how to achieve it. Our consultancy team were contracted by the firm to deliver a strategy day with the Partners . The strategic plan that resulted from the strategy day meant a number of key changes needed to be made within the firm.

The partners recognised that they did not have the skills to implement the strategic plan therefore retained us to help them with this. We provided a non-executive support in monthly Partner meetings, and a whole layer of external skills to assist in finance; marketing and business development; compliance and performance related pay for all staff.

The firm had agreed to convert the existing partnership into a limited company enabling the Partners’ capital accounts to be converted into loan capital and this drawn down over the next five years paying no tax.

The management of change requires specialist skills at an affordable price enabling the firm to grow and develop into a successful practice.
