Jo is an experienced HR professional having worked for over 15 years for a range of businesses primarily within the professional services and legal sectors. As Head of HR for a top 100 law firm, Jo was responsible for developing and delivering the HR strategy in line with the goals and objectives of the firm.
Attracting, retaining and developing the best people is one of the biggest challenges facing law firms today and having appropriate HR systems in place which reflect the culture and values of the firm is a crucial part of meeting this challenge. As well as advising on day to day employee relations matters such as grievances, disciplinaries, employment contracts and policies Jo can also provide HR leadership and support on projects such as restructures, employee engagement and performance management. Jo takes the time to get to know the firm she is working with; its culture and people ensuring her advice is tailored to the goals of the firm, is pragmatic and commercially focused.
